Looking For a Home

Twist may be two years old, but he still thinks he's a kitten. Talk about energetic! Twist can't wait until it's his turn to romp in the open cat enclosure at the AFRP Adoption Center. Running, leaping and pouncing with feline abandon, you can't help but laugh and smile when you see Twist play.

With his plush medium-long coat and golden eyes, Twist is one handsome fellow. He loves to be petted and will let you pick him up and hold him if he's in a mellow mood. The only catch is that if Twist is excited and ready to play, he sometimes isn't as careful with his teeth as he should be. For this reason we would recommend an adult home for Twist, with an adopter experienced at reading "cat signals".

Twist would love an indoor/outdoor home in a safe area, and would benefit from regular play sessions with his adopter. Cat toys such as Da Bird, Cat Dancer, and other wand toys are especially effective at reducing stress levels in active cats like Twist by providing them with the exercise and mental stimulation they require. Plus, it's great fun for you too!

Twist has been waiting for his forever home for many months. He originally came to us from the Salinas Animal Shelter in August 2007. We would love to see Twist find the loving, fun home he deserves. Meet him at the AFRP Adoption Center, 560 Lighthouse Ave in Pacific Grove.

Every Life Counts

AFRP has a lifetime commitment to every animal that comes into our care. We do not put animals down because they have been with us too long or have special medical needs. Twist is anxious to find a permanent home because although he's off the streets and safe--he'll quickly tell you that being an orphan is not fun. He wants to find a special family to call his own.

AFRP depends on volunteers and donations from the general public to rescue approximately 1,900 dogs and cats each year. Won't you help us save more animals like Twist?
