Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from AFRP!

We ask that adopters:

Be 21 years of age or older
Have identification showing your current address
Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord
Be willing and able to spend the time and money to provide proper care, training, medical treatment and a lifelong home for the dog
Be willing to take the time to properly introduce your new dog to the household.
Be willing to have an AFRP representative conduct a home safety check

Our Mission

Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID 77-0491141) that is based in Pacific Grove, CA. We are dedicated to finding good permanent homes for abandoned, stray and neglected companion animals and ending the pet overpopulation crisis through focused spay/neuter programs. We work with our local community and animal shelters to identify and assist the dogs and cats most in need of a helping hand.
