After a rough start on the streets, Duke is ready for the good life!  This sweet 1-year-old, 14-pound snuggle buddy loves to spend time next to his person or curled up with his doggy friends. He loves to burrow under blankets for a warm and cozy nap! Currently in foster care after coming to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services, Duke is eager to please and he’s learning his house manners. He knows how to sit on command and he is crate trained and knows how to use a doggy door to go outside. He walks like a gentleman on the leash with no pulling. Duke gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and he is curious but respectful of confident, dog-savvy cats. He’s a wonderful match for a patient person that can continue his training and spend plenty of time with him. Duke is very food-motivated and loves treats! Adult household or family with gentle teens would be best for Duke. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.
