Adoptable Pets > Dog > Fiona
Hi, I'm Fiona. I was adopted on November 23!
Border Collie
Brown-White
Baby, Female
Fiona is a smart and beautiful 3-month-old smooth coated Border Collie puppy that will likely weigh 40 – 5o pounds as an adult. True to her breed, Fiona is bright, attentive and learns quickly. She plays hard and when she’s all tuckered out, she loves to cuddle with her person for a nice nap. She’s a happy, friendly girl that enjoys attention from everyone she meets. Fiona is one of a large group of dogs that were living in neglectful conditions and were confiscated by animal control. Currently in foster care, Fiona is ready to leave the past behind her and become a shining star in a family of her own. Because she had to fight for every morsel of food in her previous life, Fiona does exhibit some resource guarding around other dogs, which is understandable. She’ll do well with a savvy adopter that can help her work through that issue, and can keep her both mentally and physically active. Herding breeds are working dogs, and without work they can become bored! Fiona might be a great candidate for agility training, herding or other dog sports. This breed can tend to “herd” kids by nipping at heels, so an adult adopter or family with kids over age 10 would be best. Fiona is spayed and has received her first vaccine. She will require boosters in the near future. If you are ready to help this sweet pup live her best life, please fill out an online application.
Please note: Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
