Hi, I'm Marshall. I was adopted on July 13!

Whippet Mix

White

Adult, Male

Meet Marshall! This sweet long-legged 2-year-old, 20-pound Whippet mix (best guess) has the most endearing underbite! He came to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services and he’s doing well in foster care. Marshall is crate trained, house trained and sleeps soundly through the night, waking up at about 7:30am for a potty break. He tolerates larger dogs, but he really enjoys the company of other dogs of a similar size and activity level. This fast, agile and active dog can clear a 5-foot fence with ease, and he can climb a 6-foot fence, so a very secure space is a must, and he cannot be left outdoors unattended or he’ll will try to escape to find his person. Marshall can be timid in new situations and he is very anxious around children, so needs an experienced,  adult-only household. He is currently taking a daily medication to help lower his anxiety level and he has shown great improvement. Once you earn his trust this guy will be your best friend and he’ll shower you with wags and kisses. He loves going for walks, hikes and runs! Marshall will do best with an adopter that can take it slow, help him build confidence, and spend plenty of quality time with him every day. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.

Due to COVID and high demand, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
