Meet Meeko! This 1-year-old, 47-pound boxer is ready for his forever home after coming to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animals Services. Picked up as an abandoned stray, Meeko can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly with a gentle touch and sweet affirmations. He is blossoming in foster care and now that he has relaxed, he is finally showing his happy, bouncy and joyful boxer personality. This smart and eager-to-please pup is house trained, crate trained and walks nicely on the leash. He is very social and polite with other dogs, and loves playing with them. Like all boxers, he loves to talk to you, lean in for affection, and bounce around with glee. He does the “boxer curl” when he is really happy! Meeko is currently in foster care.
