Adoptable Pets > Dog > Saoirse (Seersha)

Hi, I'm Saoirse (Seersha). I was adopted on February 15!

Shepherd Mix

Cream

Young, Female

Named for the Gaelic word for “freedom,” Saoirse (pronounced Seersha) knows how precious it is to be able to run and play. She came to AFRP as an injured pup from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services, requiring orthopedic surgery to pin a fractured hind leg. She spent many weeks confined in crate rest while her leg healed, and now that she’s been cleared by the vet, Saoirse is absolutely thrilled to be able to go for walks, play with her toys and go for rides in the car. She is still building strength in her hind leg, but she walks without a limp and her surgical repair was successful.

With intelligent brown eyes and a creamy golden coat, this 8-month-old, 52-pound Shepherd mix pup turns heads wherever she goes. She’s a friendly dog that enjoys meeting new people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes. She is unknown with cats, but is very good with children. Saoirse is a smart and eager dog that learns quickly and is very treat-motivated. She is doing well with her potty training skills, and is crate trained. She’s looking for an active adopter that can make her a part of daily life and can continue her training. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.
