Fall in love with Sidney, a darling 2-year-old, 6-pound mixed breed that loves lap time and giving kisses to the people she knows and loves! Currently in foster care, Sidney has made a lot of progress since coming to AFRP as a very shy and timid stray from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services. She has warmed up to her foster family and enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home, both large and small. Sidney enjoys playing with toys and romping in the yard. Sidney is doing well with her potty training when taken outside regularly. Though Sidney feels secure in her own home, she is still very timid when going to unfamiliar places or meeting strangers. When going for walks, she’s working on not barking at everyone she sees! Sidney will do best with an adopter that is familiar with the needs of small shy dogs and can work with her to build confidence. An adult adopter or family with kids over age 12 would be best. She would love to join an household with other friendly dog buddies. Sidney is a flight risk and needs a secure yard and a home with baby gates to prevent door-dashing.
