Hi, I'm Tripp. Adopt Me!

Mini Aussie

Red Merle

Baby, Male

Tripp is a 3-month-old, 6-pound special-needs Mini Aussie that was raised in foster care after being surrendered by a backyard breeder. Born with a congenital deformity of both front elbows, Tripp ambulates differently than other dogs – he walks on his forearms with his front elbows permanently bent. His foster mom says this makes him walk and hop like a bunny. Tripp is a happy and playful pup that does not know that he is different. He gets along nicely with other small dogs (unknown with cats) and he if friendly with people. He will likely weigh 20-25 pounds as an adult dog. Tripp is looking for an adult adopter that can continue his training and can work with their vet to ensure continued joint comfort. He is not a dog that can go for walks unless he is carried in a backpack or taken in a stroller. He is looking for a safe and loving home with no large dogs, no small children and no stairs. Soft carpeting and a grassy backyard help to cushion Tripp’s front legs. Tripp is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once our online application has been received and approved.
