Elsie
sponsor me

Special girl! Elsie was born to a mama cat that was positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). The virus is not always passed from mothers to kittens, and Elsie's siblings Nettie, Pixie, Elmer and Andy tested negative. Elsie was the only one to test positive for FIV. No big deal! She's a smart, friendly and healthy 2-year-old who loves to keep you company when you work on the computer. She gets along great with small dogs and other cats. Cats that are FIV+ can live long, happy lives. Read more about FIV. Elsie is currently in foster care and is available for meetings. Click here for an online application.

At 12 pounds, he's a big, healthy and athletic cat that enjoys head-rubs and finding sunny spots for cat naps. His name is fitting because he can meow in several octaves! Caruso loves laps and enjoys being petted from head to tail. He would prefer to be your one and only cat. Caruso was adopted from AFRP as a kitten and returned to our care when his guardian could no longer care for him. He would love a chance to claim your lap as his own! Watch Caruso's video. Patches
sponsor me

Patches is a super sweet 12-year-old calico with one green eye, and one blue eye. So cute! She lost her home when her 94-year-old guardian passed away. Patches was very loved and well-cared-for in her former home, and she'll be a wonderful companion for the person willing to give her a second chance. Like many older cats, Patches has kidney disease. She is doing well with a special renal diet and subcutaneous fluids every-other day. She is a very easygoing cat and gets along fine with other well mannered cats and dogs. She is currently an office cat at our Pacific Grove Adoption Center.

She is a very well behaved indoor cat, very clean and uses her litter box without fail. Sura was found huddled against a fence near a feral colony. Sick and emaciated, she was rescued and has made a wonderful recovery. Sura is a super-affectionate girl who loves attention. She will do best as a single cat in the home. Click here for her video. Sura is FIV+, so needs an indoor-only home. Sura is currently in foster care, click here for an online application.

Clara Bell
sponsor me

Clara Bell is a sweet and gentle 8-year-old grey and white cat who was born in an old school bus at a wrecking yard in south Monterey County. She was fed by an employee, but never had the luxury of living as a house cat. Once she trusts you, she loves to be petted and rolls over on her back when you rub her head. Clara Bell is a shy girl and will require a patient adopter who will give her plenty of time to adjust to her new home. Setting her up in a quiet spare bedroom while you are getting to know each other would be perfect. Give Clara Bell a chance and she'll be your loyal little friend! She gets along nicely with other cats, and is good friends with K.B., also on the web. Meet Clara at the AFRP office in Pacific Grove. Watch Clara's video.

K.B.

He's a super mellow guy who is fantastic with other cats of all ages. Meet K.B. at the AFRP Adoption Center in Pacific Grove - he's one of our "office cats," and we'd love to see him find happiness in a home of his own. He is good friends with Clara Belle, and they would make a great pair if adopted together. Watch KB's video.

Kona
sponsor me

Kona is an 8-year-old black cat looking for a very special adopter. She came to us from a shelter in Los Angeles that closed down. Sadly, Kona arrived at the L.A. shelter when she was only 12 weeks old, and spent many years in a cage situation. We'd like to give this shy girl the opportunity to experience life as a cherished house cat. She is timid but once she feels comfortable in a home, she shows herself to be very loving and playful. She gets along nicely with other friendly cats. Kona is currently in foster care and is available for meetings. Click here for an online application.

Tootsie
sponsor me

Tootsie is a friendly 8-year-old brown tabby looking for love! She came to us from a rescue group in Los Angeles that had to close down. Before that she lived with a family that had to surrender her due to some landlord problems. Tootsie loves to rub up against you to ask for petting, and enjoys chasing laser toys and munching on cat grass. She is not overly fond of other cats, and would be in kitty heaven as your one-and-only kitty friend. Like many cats, Tootsie prefers to be petted and stroked near her head and neck - no belly rubs please! She does nip when overstimulated. Adult, experienced adopter preferred. Tootsie's adoption fee is waived thanks to a donation from an AFRP supporter. Click here for an online application.

Outdoor Cats
Do you have a ranch, barn, greenhouse, workshop or studio that could be a safe haven for a feral cat or two? We often have a few cats in our care who have lived their whole lives outdoors, and are not comfortable in our adoption center. They will have already been spayed/neutered, and immunized. If you can provide food, water and shelter for feral cats who needs a safe, secure outdoor home, please contact us. We recommend a good cat fencing system that can be used for outdoor cats or for your indoor cats who want a safe outdoor adventure. Read more about cat enclosures.

P Diddy Kitty
Posted 5-15-18. Hello, my name is P Diddy Kitty. I am a 4-year-old neutered male. My Mom is having surgery and is moving as a result. She is looking to place me in a home where I will be happy and loved. I am very sweet, low maintenance, and mainly like to lounge around. I do like to play with toys occasionally, and even know how to sit on command taking treats gently. I'm not an all over you cat, but will enjoy being in the same room with you and being pet before I settle in quietly. I get along with other cats and also lived with a dog too! I generally stay in doors, but do enjoy sunning on the patio or window ledge. What can I say, I'm a pretty relaxed "Diddy Kitty" My ear is bent, I was rescued by Mom, she says it adds charm. My nose turns bright pink when I'm happy and often look like a bunny. Thank you for any consideration, I currently live in Monterey. Text my mom Yvette if you are interested in loving me.
