- Appointments are required for spay and neuter surgeries.
- Pets must be 8 weeks old and over 2 pounds for surgery.
- There are no additional fees for office visits.
- Full, non-refundable, cost of your pet's surgery is required in advance to reserve your appointment, and it will be applied to the total fee on the appointment day.
- Missed or cancelled appointments are non-refundable.
- At this time: The AFRP clinic is currently only able to provide spay and neuter services to dogs and puppies under 40 pounds. For dogs or cats over 7 years of age, the AFRP clinic requires baseline blood work, which can be scheduled with our clinic prior to the surgery date.
- Additional charges for spay/neuter apply if the pet is in heat, pregnant, cryptorchid, brachycephalic or needs a hernia repair.
- Brachycephalic Breeds such as pugs, frenchies, bulldogs, and others with flat faces, are an additional $120.00 as the anesthesia protocol is different for their safety and well-being while undergoing surgery. This includes the placement of an IV catheter, administration of an anti-emetic prior to surgery.
- Rabies vaccination is required if age appropriate and will be given at time services are rendered unless a copy of a current rabies certificate is provided at time of check-in or uploaded during the appointment setting process
